Trancealert 2.0: viva la revolucion!
It has been a fairly quiet month here on Trancealert.com. Obviously the summer is a reason for that, but most importantly we have been working behind the scenes to improve our website service.
Less words, more music
While the blog at the beginning mostly focused on releases reviews, we felt we could not keep up with the pace of the current digital music market with our small team. Don't worry, reviews will still be published, especially for what concerns albums or EP/singles that contain multiple tracks of notable quality. However more and more often we cross releases that have just one interesting track and this new lighter publishing format will help us promote those productions as well.
Help us track the best music released
Quality will still be a priority over quantity, we are 100% independent from any label or artist and our only concern is to find music that stands out and deserves to be promoted. However to do so we need YOUR HELP. We think we are good at tracking a good chunk of the best Trance/Progressive/Psy releases published every day, but we are human after all and we can't listen to everything. This is why we encourage you to help us out in our quest to find and promote the quality music still released. It is really in everyone interest that quality music doesn't get buried under a ton of garbage.
Yes, count me in, but what can I do?
How can you help? Fairly simple, we have just added a forum to the Trancealert.com website, you can visit it and subscribe at the following url: http://www.trancealert.com/forum/. By the way if you have already subscribed to the blog you should already be able to post in the forum, as the database in theory is connected. In the new releases section you will soon find a thread where you can signal the recent (less than 3 months old, but we are open to exceptions) worthy tracks you have found and hopefully are happy to share with everybody else. Our team will then proceed to evaluate your submission(s) to see whether it fits with the website scope and in case of a positive verification, we will proceed to publish your recommendation and your name/nickname will obviously appear on the post. Then other forum members will be able to comment the track(s) you submitted in the forum.
Weekly Newsletter
With your help we want to become the number 1 source for quality Trance/Progressive/Psy Music and provide the first 100% independent mailing list made by and for fans of this type of music. The newsletter will contain a link to all the post we published during a week on our blog and forum. This will help you not miss a single post we publish and filter our posts for what actually interests you. While there are plenty of services around for producer/djs, we felt that fans/listeners also need to be helped to find music they may like. This is why we launched Trancealert back in February and now we follow-up on this idea with this newsletter.
From this Sunday you will find a newsletter form subscription on top of the left sidebar and we will start experimenting with this new publishing system from next week. It would be great if you could post in the Suggestion forum any type of feedback, suggestion, problem you have, because the newsletter service will likely need some time before working flawlessly.
We hope and look forward to your enthusiasm and support in the coming months. See you on the forums.
Trancealert team
P.S We are always looking for new recruits, if you think you have what it takes to help us out further grow our website don't hesitate to contact us.
