Review: Progressive Grooves Volume 4 [Miami 2010]
Progressive label Progressive Grooves released in March the new installment of the compilation series dedicated to the Miami Winter Music Conference.

Progressive Grooves is the label launched in 2005 by Canadian Dj and producer Mikas. Specialized in Progressive House and Progressive Trance tracks, the label has released some of the finest Progressive tracks of the last 5 years. If you have not followed them yet we suggest you to check out their back catalogue.
Only critique we want to move to Progressive Grooves is the label policy to periodically re-release old tracks without making it really clear that they are not new releases, so pay attention to the price you pay for certain "new" tracks.

Progressive Grooves have uploaded the mixed version of the compilation on Soundcloud, so if you do not care about having the entire unmixed tracks you can listen to this compilation for free.
Our readers will probably not like every track of this compilation since it includes some Tech oriented tracks. Since we are not expert in this type of music, we have limited our attention to the best Trance related tracks present on this compilation.
Mikas – Platinum is in our opinion the real highlight, a dark hypnotic progressive Trancer like they are not produced anymore. No unnecessary elements in this track, just the essential. Particularly impressive the use of the percussions that gives further energy to an already highly driving track.
Those looking for something more melodic should instead appreciate the Mikas 2010 Remix of Saul B – Overturned. Only reserve we have on this track is the fairly annoying electro melody introduced for the first time just before the breakdown at the 2.16 mark. Still it does not completely ruin the track that remains a more than solid melodic Progressive Trancer.
